⁣Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) is defined as a disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). It was originally reported to the World Health Organization (WHO) on 31 December 2019. On 30 January 2020, the WHO declared the outbreak of COVID-19 a global health emergency.We conducted a prospective study that included SARS-COV2 positive pregnant women with various forms of severity. The pregnant women included in this study were hospitalized in the Bucur Maternity, Saint John Clinical Hospital Bucharest.Pregnant women with SARS Cov 2 infection are at risk of developing more severe forms than non-pregnant women, which negatively influences the mother’s condition and consequently the fetus. The most common complications can be premature birth, coagulation pathology, hypertensive diseases. SARS COV2 infection is transmitted rarely upwards and treatment for both mothers and children is still under discussion.
