Hernia Repair in Women of Reproductive Age | Yaritza Perez

Summary :
⁣Abdominal wall hernias require surgical correction in most patients to avoid incarceration. There are currently many options for hernia repair, open approach, laparoscopic, robotic assisted. There are also many materials used for reinforcement of the abdominal wall. Women of childbearing age, often present with hernias. This presentation will review the literature, and explain techniques, choice of procedure and materials in this subset of patients. Current recommendations and procedures will be presented.
